About Us
At Happi Hour, we believe events should be celebrated and not stressed over. Inspired by Japan’s vibrant matsuri (festivals), we bring people together through moments filled with energy, connection, and culture. From sake to décor, every detail shines with our promise to be the "brand of the rising fun!".

In Japan, the word happi (法被) refers to a traditional festival jacket colorful, joyful, and worn when it’s time to celebrate!
At Happi Hour, we’ve reimagined that spirit for every one of our events. Our name is a playful nod to both the happi coat and the feeling of “happy hour” where laughter flows as freely as sake.
We believe every moment deserves to be celebrated to the fullest with style, vigor, and authenticity.
Why happi?

ジョリー ジェシカ
Born to a Japanese mother and an American father, Jessica Joly has spent her life bridging cultures — a passion that now shines through in her work with Happi Hour. As America’s first “Miss Sake USA,” Jessica has dedicated her career to sharing the beauty of Japanese culture, food, and drink with the world.

Growing up between Tokyo and California, she developed a deep appreciation for how connection and celebration transcend borders. Her path led her to New York City’s vibrant hospitality scene, where she gained experience at renowned establishments such as Sakamai, Ippudo, Tokyo Record Bar, and Accidental Bar. Beyond the Japanese restaurant scene, Jessica has collaborated with organizations such as The Smithsonian, DC Sake, Genji Sake, and Tippsy Sake, and has been featured in Forbes, Imbibe, and Eater as a respected sake sommelier and educator.

As the Marketing Director at Sake Discoveries, she continues to champion sake awareness through branding, events, and education.
Jessica founded Happi Hour to bring people together through authentic Japanese-inspired experiences by blending tradition, elegance, and fun. Inspired by Japan’s matsuri (festivals), she leads Happi Hour as the "brand of the rising fun" where culture meets celebration, and every moment is a reason to say kanpai!
